EXT: 5th Gen V2 Fog Light Install WITH FACTORY PREWIRED HARNESS
Use that guide to wire up your ebay fogs using the prewired wiring. Much easier and no hole making in the firewall.

Have you ever installed subs or anything before? There's already a hole in the firewall under the cruise control/intake area. You can just run it through there. I taped the end of the plug to one of my step-dad's arrows and jammed it through there then just ran it over to the drivers side.

Yeah, you can either cut the harness and make it work with the factory harness (orange wire wrapped in blue tape in the far corner next to the fuse box on top or run the wire behind the carpet under the pedals under the centre of the car and through the firewall hole behind the glove box (recommend taking out the glove box) and then remove the fuse box under the hood and connect it to the wire under the bumper to the foglights and then mount the ground cables under the radiator frame and tighten them to the headlight screws that hold the headlights or closer ones. Don't do it over the frame or it will cause the hood to shut weird and you will possibly screw up the wires (which you don't want to happen.

I ran my fog wiring along the side of the ABS system and through this hole by the clutch/brake master cylinder by the firewall to the fuse panel beside your left foot.

No doing it that way will not mess anything up and your turn signals will still work, you don't have to worry about running a wire at all because our cars come with the wire specificly for the fog lights. If you had bought authentic JDM fogs this is the exact way you would hook up except for its harness already comes with the proper connectors. Just go anywhere to get a male bullet connector for the exterior and a female bullet connector for the interior. Just follow the instructions that were already linked in the thread.

Re: Ebay fog lights: where to make hole?

Your turn signals won't be affected by the fogs in anyway. I would do the prewired install rather then the hassle of running the wire through the bay.

Better make sure to put some kind of grommet on that hole. Metal rubbing on wires will eventually cause a dead short.

Re: Ebay fog lights: where to make hole?

Use the pre-wire, so much easier. It's an orange wire, you'll find it on the driver side by the turn signal wires when you take your bumper off. Inside the car, it's tucked way back above and behind the fuse panel. It will be taped up with some other wires.
