Sorry ASS Door locks

I just recently got this car and my power locks have all worked until today. Right now my driver door works fully-functioning but my passenger lock sticks halfway when I unlock and does nothing at all after it sticks.

I would just like to know if anyone else has experienced/fixed this issue. I would really hate to forget that my doors dont lock and leave it open to theft. Can't find any answers online, but maybe I didn't look hard enough.

Thanks

Re: Sorry ASS Door locks

I have a similar problem, my passenger door power lock is like half power so when I lock i have to hit it several times to get it to go all the way locked.

Its very frustrating, Do i need a new lock switch or what...
for my 4th gen

I have the same problem on the passenger side. I have to walk over to other side and double check every time I park. Sounds like the solenoid works but sticks halfway.

Re: Sorry ASS Door locks

I did search and was not sure if it was the actuator or simply an easier fix.

$120 Front Right door actuator @ O'Reilys + taking my door panel of=PITA

Just seeing if there were new thoughts on the idea.

SOOOOO.....For sure an actuator? And why is it everybody's passenger side that sticks halfway?

Re: Sorry ASS Door locks

I'm having bizarre things with my locks.
When ignition is off, the drivers side lock switch no longer works to unlock/lock the car.
When the ignition switch is on, the driver's switch locks/unlocks both sides.
The inside passenger lock switch works to lock/unlock both sides when ignition is on or off.
Why would it work with the key in and not when the car is shut off?
I hear the solenoid/actuator on pass. side hang up sometimes takes two-three clicks of the remote but I've not had it quit--yet.
This morning the key wouldn't turn to unlock the column and start the car. I'm going to try thr WD40 in both.

Re: Sorry ASS Door locks

Hope all goes well to you OP, this is the only problem i've had with my car since i got it. Sometimes they work sometimes not and sometimes there stuck. I'm soon gonna just take 500$ and buy everything that goes inside the doors brand new on each side and have it done with it's getting that annoying. even when my power locks DO work, the manual ones are still stiff as a board, you can barley move them with your finger its like there caught in something ffs.
