engine decision

I have a 98 base with 194xxx, my piston rings are starting to go out, i spit smoke when in vtec and sometimes when i hit the gas to hard. I will be buying a new engine soon and am most likely going the turbo route. What i was wondering was what kind of engine is best for running a turbo setup. Im kinda weary to get another h22a4, i feel like tuning something that's boosted and has vtec would be a major headache. Could anyone point me in the right direction. Would an h23 be a better choice? Also random question, Has anyone ever stroked an h motor?

Re: engine decision

Dude you gotta search there is alot of threads about turbo builds and really good one about stroking a h series engine. search it up and don't ask people to do your homework for you.

Re: engine decision

H series motor = sleeves first
F series motor = go for it

Re: engine decision

Just get an f22 for dirt cheap, boost it and have fun with your 275 hp.
