how to connect my fogs to parking lights?

Hey, so i recently bought some fog lights for my car and it came with these instructions:

ive been searching every where but couldn't find how to connect the green "ignition" wire to my parking lights. Does anyone know where the parking light wire is or show me a picture? I heard its the red/black wire near the fuse box, is that correct? And how do i connect the wires together?

Re: how to connect my fogs to parking lights?

I'm actually curious as well. I got them and just have them wired to where they're able to come on when I turn the lights on, but I'd like to make them able to be turned on anytime. I could help you with the wiring tomorrow after I look at how I have it wired…but just an fyi, Ludes are pre-wired for the fogs.

EXT: 5th GEN: Fog light's as DRL'S
Maybe my guide can help some. PORT #2 allows your fogs to turn on with parking lights and stay on with the headlights too of course. PORT #1 allows them to turn on with the car's ingntion. Those instructions look just like the V2 fogs.

yeah but for some reason the fog switch i have is 5 pin and the pre-wired one is 2 pin, so i can't connect them my switch to it.

yes the ignition wire (green/positive). ok so the fog lights i have has 2 wire coming out of the fuse. there's a green one positive ignition wire and a white negative wire which is plugged to the negative part of my battery. im assuming the green positive one is suppose to be wired to the parking lights? because when i plug the green one to the positive part of my battery, the fog light switch illuminates and indicator of the switch stays on, even when my car isn't turned on. if that is correct, how would i wire it to the parking lights?

It looks similar to the ebay v2's you haven't tried using this guide to get them in?

Re: how to connect my fogs to parking lights?

in order to wire them to your parking lights, you use a quick splice, and splice into the parking lights power wire... heres how i have mine hooked up, ill start with the switch.

switch ground to chassis, power to headlight low beam power, yours would go to parking light power, accessory to relay.

Relay goes to fuse tap, or whatever your power source will be, relay ground to chassis, relay fog power to fuse, to fogs.

hope that helps you out if you need i can take a video of my wiring exactly to show you, and explain the splice to you if you need

Re: how to connect my fogs to parking lights?

oh. lol, i have a 4th gen, so i cant say for sure, but easiest way to find out is (in 4th gen, should be same for 5th) turn the headlight switch/handle, on the steering wheel one notch, dont turn on your low beams, just one notch and then go up front, and see which lights are lit up, should be on your bumper because you dont have corner lights... if your low beams turn on, then you either went to far, or yours isnt the same as mine...

find out which light is the parking light that way, try to not use lights with blinkers, because then you have to figure out which wire is power for the regular light, and which is power for the blinker, i doubt you want your fogs to blink lol...
