What's this and do I need it??

Hi all I'm from the UK and putting a H22a5 into a kit car and basically what is this black canistet and do I need it?? Iv been told I don't if I use a skunk2 intake Mani and removing it won't make a difference

im nearly 100% sure its just the vacuum box that opens the butterflys on the stock IM. if you dont have the stock IM, or even if you do but have the butterflys in, then you dont need it

If you have/are getting the Skunk2 IM, you don't need that black canister.

You do not need that canister with a Skunk2 Intake manifold.

All H22's but one.


H22's equipped with the Euro-R intake manifold do not have this box. Or any aftermarket intake without butterfly valves in the plenum.

highly doubt a check engine light...but it will run like poop in the high rpms.
