OEM cat still fit?

Ok guys, quick noob question. Ive had stock cats on cars before with aftermarket header and exhaust, and tomorrow morning i want to swap my high flow back to stock on the prelude. Megan header, ebay generic exhaust. My question is, will it bolt up? Gotta know if i need to go get wire for the welder (My car is 50 miles away btw, so "go look" is out of the picture lol)

Re: OEM cat still fit?

I don't know why i'm entertaining this but as long as the high flow is a direct replacemnt then you won't have problems.

Re: OEM cat still fit?

You should be able to bolt them on unless the hi flow cat was welded on there, then you'd have to either cut the flange off the cat and weld on there or find an alternative way to

Re: OEM cat still fit?

I've heard bad things about Megan headers but the OEM cat should fit as long as the highflow was direct bolt up.

Well sir, i did not ask if i was getting power gains. =)
The car came with that crap on it and its just too loud. It will eventually be getting my own home built and mellow exhaust welded up when i have the time. As i said, i wasnt close enough to the car to go look, and havent looked since owning it. Thanks for the input guys, bolted up just fine =)

Re: OEM cat still fit?

Glad it bolted up good. What are your plans for the custom exhaust?

Re: OEM cat still fit?

Sorry on the late response lol, but stock cat, 2.25" piping, possibly a resonator somewhere around the middle, and a mellow flowmaster 50. Should keep it nice and quiet but have a little more bite and tone =)
