Bolts Question

I made the mistake of forgetting to bag my bolts or put them in place of where I took them out when I was doing my transmission removal. I got them mixed up somehow and now confused on which bolts go to which and position those bolts go into. Like the transmission bolts have two different sizes, etc.

They are either for the engine stiffener, transmission, transmission mount, or something else. I'm ****ed :(

Figured out:
Found my transmission mount bolts (not in the picture)
3 of the nuts are my transmission nuts
1 of the nuts are for my right radius bar
2 tiny bolts are for the slave cylinder
3 skinny skinny bolts are for the transmission engine stiffener

I'm clueless on the rest. Especially that far fat small one on the first picture at the very end and the very tall bolt.

Re: Bolts Question

Fortunately almost all the bolt holes for the tranny are diff depths (obvi, as you found out), so you can do a process of elimination by individually seeing which bolts are too short/long in every single hole. Yea it'll take some time, but I guarantee it'll be shorter than waiting for answers here, especially seeing as we're not there in person to see if some are/aren't the correct thread size.

Take the shortest bolt, try it in every single hole until you find one that seems perfect. Go to next shortest.
Than do this starting with the longest bolt, getting shorter. Repeat until there's no more bolts left.

Almost positive the longest bolt is for the starter.

I think the longest bolt is a 17mm. My starter bolt was an 18mm.

Re: Bolts Question

That's what my pile of bolts is gonna look like in a couple of weeks, if I'm lucky. Good luck man!

Re: Bolts Question

White masking tape and a sharpie... 4.00
Labeled bolts with matching holes... Priceless

Doesn't the PDF diagrams cover the bolts' dimensions?
