Fitment Issues?

I've been looking at a lot of 5th gens and I notice that a lot of them have fitment issues especially on the front bumper.

I don't have any pictures yet, but mine also has some fitment problems in the front, specifically the hood, lights and front bumper don't line up together. It's not terribly bad and I'm 90% sure the car was hit in the front before because it has a different hood, JDM front bumper, and JDM fenders. Now I don't know for sure if it was hit or the person just wanted a JDM front end which also might affect the fitment, but the point is, IT DOESN'T LINE UP!

I'm just wondering if it's a common issue for 5th gens and how I could fix it DYI?

Re: Fitment Issues?

"front bumper sag" You can add some washers behind the 2 bolts that hold the actual bumper to the radiator support. It'll fix most if not all of the sag. There's a writeup on here or preludepower on how to do it.

As far as the headlights - it's very common for the top mounting tab to break. Solution is to epoxy or plastic weld a new tab on.

Hoods - well it's rare for anyone to bother aligning their hoods.... unfortunately lol

jdm bumper and fenders fit the exact same way as USDM. the fenders just have the holes cut out for the side markers - and on the bumper, it just doesn't have the holes cut out for the bumper lights. Same pieces for the most part.

Re: Fitment Issues?

Oh okay, thanks. I mean cars aren't "prefect" and some parts have a slight offset on how they fit sometimes so non original parts might fit slightly off, but the bumper sag makes sense.
