97 Prelude Emissions question

Hey everyone,

So, I took my 97 Lude in for an e test with the stock H22A4, it failed, after many new parts, EGR, plugs, air filter, O2 sensors, coolant flush, new cat, etc and failed. Now I swapped in an H22A with low mileage, it runs 10X better then the A4, much smoother, more power, just better overall, and got a hotrod test done today due to it being an engine not available to the model year in this country, regardless, it passed the hotrod test, but look at these numbers, they are high as hell compared to the A4 numbers which ran ****tier, can anyone explain why a better running, lower mileage, no engine lights or anything motor has such high readings? Thanks!

Re: 97 Prelude Emissions question

hot rod test vs regular emissions
regular emissions = much stricter

Not sure which state you live in but if you live in P.A. there is a law that says you can be excempt from emission if you can prove that it is going to cost over $500 to pass the emissions. Most people don't know about it but it only works for 1 year. Check with your state laws.

Re: 97 Prelude Emissions question

I live in Ontario Canada, now I know hotrod vs standard testing but look at the numbers the H22A produced(the bottom paper), the readings are almost 4x in some categories then the H22A4 which ran bad compared to this
