I assume you remove that spring and then take it off...not sure how though.

No, the spring does not come off until you slide that pin out, it is held in with those washers I mentioned in the first post.

I'd try to cut the washer with either a dremel, sawzaw, or body saw.

Re: CC delete linkage lever removal

not sure where it is on the 5th gen pedal assembly. on the 4th gen though, the writeup said to move the cable to the left, driver side and it would pop out, i spent like 2 hours trying to do that... then i moved it towards the passenger side, and with a tiny bit of force slipped right out, just take your time, move it different ways maybe? or try what hunter said

In no way did that help the OP what-so-ever. Your talking about removing the CC cable, which he clearly already did. He's trying to remove the entire lever that the cable connects to.

Boogie, it looks like the gas pedal rotates around the lower, black dowel, correct? And the CC lever rotates about the upper, silver one right? And that's what has the 2 star-locks on it? If so, I'd take a hammer, tap the dowel to the right, and that'll give you some clearance underneath the star-lock to be able to pull it off. Or you could just continue to tap it with a hammer all the way off.

Re: CC delete linkage lever removal

my bad, i misunderstood his question then. i didn't take mine off because i didn't know that you should, or could. no reason to get nasty.

what would be the benefit of taking this off? you say it gets in your way, how?

That's cuz you CAN'T take it off on 4th gens, it's completely different. The cable is attached directly to the gas pedal, not a secondary lever
