DDM Tuning is my recommendation. At a certain point, it doesn't seem worth it to pay so much more for the same result. DDM is quality, I've had my bulbs and ballasts since 2010 and right now their slim ballast kit is going for $35 + shipping.

Re: Thoughts on Morimoto HID kits

Retrofitted headlights will be 100x better than the eBay "h.i.d's"

I haven't personally dealt with morimoto but it's the "entry level" retrofit.. For the price I think they're GRRREAT..

There's one video on YouTube that shows the output of the morimoto's on a prelude.. Check it out..

I think it's worth the money to improve visibility and safety

Retrofitted h.i.d > h.i.d's in stock housing

Using hids without real projectors does not put out the same result

When you see a civic with purple lights that are shinning all over the place those are hids without a projector.. Yes the hids are bright but they are in headlights that have reflectors for halogen bulbs that causes the bright lights to spread out everywhere but the road

A projector focuses the light to where you want it instead of it hitting the reflectors..

Look up h.i.d projector cutoff.. There's a line where the lights just stop instead of shinning up 50ft

With all that being said you can use ddm tuning hid bulbs in your retrofit. I've heard nothing but good things about them
