Help

I have a 2000 Type SH and when I try to start my car, I will put the key in and turn it and nothing will happen, no electric stuff, nothing, I have to take the key all the way out and put it back in and then it starts. This just started happening, but it seems to only do it when it is cold out. Does anyone know what the issue could be?

Re: Help

sounds like it could be the electrical ignition switch.

Re: Help

Worn out contacts in the ignition switch might be it.

Check this one out. It's mostly for the Accord, but heck.. I've seen it happen to Civic, Jazz (fit) and SHlT loads of other Honda's. Might be worth your while to just get that checked! ;)

Re: Help

I know there was a ignition recall but I think they fixed it for 99+?
