Thinking about letting the Lude go...

Sup guys,

Like the title states, I'm seriously thinking about selling the Prelude and purchasing something a little different. It's just that the prelude gets impractical at times and I can't carry more than 3 people it seems without rubbing everywhere I go. Sometimes, I would rather just prefer a 4 door sedan because it doesn't cause me to keep adjusting my seat every time people sit behind me in my car or I have to let them out. I've had numerous people come up to me actually and ask if I'd be willing to sell, but I would decline because I never really thought about selling the car. I've had so much time, effort, and money put into this car which are the biggest reasons for me wanting to hold on to the car, but I don't know if that's working very well.

Things done to the car as of now:
-Purchased it in April
-New set of wheels
-Swapped the motor
-Three different sound systems
-New in-deck GPS system
-Left front driver rim is brand new because I hit a rock, which caused the rim to bend
-New exhaust system
-Intake
-Has lowering springs (not sure what brand name, bought it like that)
I feel like I'm missing something else, which I probably am, but I just can't think of it. I also had future plans of going turbo next summer but I don't know if I will now if I'm thinking about selling it already.

I really only have two cars in mind
01-05 Lexus IS300
04-08 Acura TL
I'm looking for only manual transmission and white with black interior. I know that's a very hard combination to find, but I think it'll be well worth it if I do find one. I really wouldn't mind a black on black but I basically already have black on black and actually thought about painting the prelude white but not sure what to do right now.

What would you guys do if you were in my shoes? I know this is a prelude forum but try your best not to be so biased.

Thanks Vince

Re: Thinking about letting the Lude go...

if anything, i would go for the is300. I was recently looking for one but decided to wait till i get back from basic and tech school. Judging by your sig (owning a gs300) i'm sure you've done your research on the 2jzge and the is300 itself and know its a great car with a ton of potential and can be had for relatively cheap

Re: Thinking about letting the Lude go...

1. Take out rear seats.
2. Only carry one extra passenger at most, preferably female.
3. Profit.

I hate people sitting in the rear seats because all they do is bitch about how small it is; even after I've given them fair warning that the rear seats aren't actually meant to be occupied. Do these other people not have cars of their own?

Re: Thinking about letting the Lude go...

I know exactly what you mean. This past weekend, I was only supposed to take one of my buddies out to the gas station, but change of plans. Two more guys come along so I have a car full. The whole time while driving, their just complaining about how small my car is and I'm scraping the whole entire way on the highway. I'm like WTF!? Drive your own car then

Exactly what I tell everyone else. I didn't buy the lude to haul people around. I bought it for me

Re: Thinking about letting the Lude go...

Luckily the people I've put in my backseat were small enough to sit back there without complaining lol also my girlfriend is small so she can put the seat up pretty far to give them room. I would get a is300 there pretty nice and still small for a 4 door. If the TL Type S.

Re: Thinking about letting the Lude go...

I tell people the same sh*t. I give them a warning ahead of time letting them know I got bucket seats and are really small. As they are complaining, I usually ask them if they want me to pull over to the nearest bus stop and they cant sweat and wait for a bus then. I have no problems. But on another note I would get an is300, they are clean.

If they had someone like him sitting in the front then maybe.
