Cant find wires for a f20b!

I recently went to get my plugs/wires replaced, the garage managed to find the plugs and ordered the wires (im assuming for an h22a) not knowing it was an f20. They said the wires wouldnt work so i assume there is some sort of difference :s but im not that familiar with it all. i was wondering if you guys knew where to get the correct ones? i will also check the parts guide to see the better ones to get. I checked ebay but i cannot find anything under an f20b. anything would be a great help.

also, i replaces my map sensor yesterday, and it calmed my idle surge slightly, but the mechanic says the IACV may be the true cause of the idle, so he cleaned but still nothing, im also wondering if the same valve from an h22a would work

Re: Cant find wires for a f20b!

any help guys? ive been reading about the odb1a and odb1b or whatever, and i dont really understand. im pretty sure the shop tried to get wires for just a 98 prelude (being the h22a) and he said they didnt work out at all. If i took a picture of my dizzy would anyone be able to point me in the right direction? also my stock tachometer doesn't work, should that tell me something?

Re: Cant find wires for a f20b!

You can call up any dealership and get the correct wires just by giving them the information from the motor.

From what I can gather, you have a 98 Prelude with an F20b swap. Which means you've been converted to OBD1. You need to call honda and get wires for an F20b. The tachometer may be an issue related to the actual swap that was done. Did it work before?

they should be the same as H22 wires. F20b parts are VERY hard to come by outside of Europe and Japan.
