Acoustic Feedback System question

I was told the reason why my rear speakers were really ****ty unless I put the fade on 7 (more towards the back) was due to the Acoustic Feedback System. So, I found a guide on how to by-pass it and now I can say that it sounds beautiful with the fade even on 0. Actually it's a little louder, but I'm enjoying it nonetheless.

However, I did read a guide about it on the net that I can overheat my headunit due to the rear speakers being 2ohm. I put my old speakers in it that are at 4ohm. How true is this and is there any danger in this setup? I don't think it's possible to put the old AFBS back together due to cutting of the wires. xD.

Oh, how much is a recommended price on selling my AFBS?

Re: Acoustic Feedback System question

Price? shipping. people would be gald to give their's away so good luck selling it. i's give my stock amp to someone if they wanted it....same with the headunit.

there is a reason for different ohm ratings on speakers and headunit. use the right speakers for the headunit.

this doesn't quite make sense to me. i thought all the fade did was adjust how loud one side of the car was louder than the other. i didnt think it had anything to do with quality.

Re: Acoustic Feedback System question

Well if the front speakers are crap (like no rubber around the cone) and you fade it to the rear takes the crappyness out of the sound quality.

Re: Acoustic Feedback System question

My front are good. But I could really only hear the fronts. Since bypassing it. I was able to hear the rears and the fronts.

Re: Acoustic Feedback System question

Well what is your setup? stock headunit? stock speakers? when you refer to sell the AFBS what do you mean? the little amp box below the rear deck in the trunk?

Re: Acoustic Feedback System question

There is no stock speakers any more nor the headunit. Headunit is a Pioneer and the same with both front and rear speakers.

Re: Acoustic Feedback System question

Your setup should be fine but i can't guarantee it without model numvers but i don't want to do that. you should be fine as long as the black box is gone.
