Consequences of not replacing a bad throwout bearing

Hey PZ! I've been driving on a bad throwout bearing for about 2 months now. Whenever I pressed on the clutch, the clutch peddle would rattle and there would also be a squeaking noise. My clutch is fine and it catches great. I was wondering what are the consequences of not changing my throwout bearing?
