Finally came across some extra cash. Need some help deciding where to spend it.

Hey guys. So just recently I've gotten a lot of extra cash. My paychecks have been way fat since we lost two guys are work and I've been working a lot more. I'm really wanting to get an OEM lip. Do you all have any suggestions when it comes to ordering one? I'm also trying to decide whether I want to paint it red and try and match my faded paint or leave it the unpainted black so it'd match my stock skirts. Opinions?

I've also considered getting fogs but I'm not sure how to distinguish betweens crappy plastic ones or real glass ones. Maybe trying to find some 5 speed swap parts as well. Any other ideas?

well the v2 jdm replica fogs on ebay are supposed to work really well as long as you dont plan on using hid's with them

I have the eBay V2 fog lights with HIDs and they are nice. I got the smoked amber fog lights. Just make sure you get the DDM tuning HIDs and not the Xentec ones. I might be getting the 55w HIDs for brighter output.

These are the V2 ones you want: 1997-2001 HONDA PRELUDE SH JDM SMOKE FOG LIGHTS+SWITCH | eBay (You can tell by the switch panel)

I will be buying a replica OEM lip.

as for the front lip, def look for a polyurethane one on ebay. they'll be around less than 100, usually with free shipping. i got lucky and snagged a used one locally for 40 bucks. the pu is a lot more durable and forgiving when it comes to bending and cracking.

Yes, Cole, what you should be doing is a manual swap :P.

Re: Finally came across some extra cash. Need some help deciding where to spend it.

Try on the front lip without the paint and see how it is. I personally like the lip kit to match the car but if your car paint is faded, then I don't know exactly how it'd look.
I vouch for the V2 replica's on eBay as well. Worked phenomenal with my Nokya Yellow fogs.

Whatever you get try and go oem. Jdm fogs from ICB have everything you need. Swap parts is proly where you should go though

How would that look? Paint stock sides, rear and front gloss black on a different color body?

Crazy thing is, my transmission just crapped on me. Gotta talk with the parents but I'm gonna try and convince them to help me get a swap. This'll be the third time the trans has been repaired if they decide to keep it auto...

That's insane. Lol make sure they know that all of this mindless money wasting can be solved with the simplicity that is swapping to a 5 speed :D
