Re: SPEC-DŽ - Black Projector Headlights

Don't get either go with oem style depos and get retros done if you want projectors. Most people will tell you those will make your prelude look like a ricers car. But in the end it is your car and if you really like them then get them. If you like them thats all that matters in the long run.

Re: SPEC-DŽ - Black Projector Headlights

I have them on my Silver Prelude I really like them but I find that the rings burn out. Dont really want the same lights, looking for something different. Thank you for the reply tho.

Re: SPEC-DŽ - Black Projector Headlights

he's actually got a set of SC400 retrofits on sale for $500. he's using them on his blue RHD right now but he'll polish them up real nice before he gives them to the buyer.

Re: SPEC-DŽ - Black Projector Headlights

Retro's are the only way to go for headlight's. I had a set of Depo black housings with retrofitted TSX projectors in my Prelude... which then lead me to buying an actual TSX. Lol

Re: SPEC-DŽ - Black Projector Headlights

i dont like the ones you posted here, but you have to get what you like, who cares if someone else thinks they are ricer or ugly, you should like what you put on your car.

BUT, i will say this. i followed my own advice there, and went with spyder projector lights, halos, and i love the way they look. but as time went on, 8 months or so. i started wanting JDM 1 pieces or JDM 1 piece replicas so bad. now i cant wait to get rid of these and get my JDM 1 piece headlights..... oh yea and btw I have a 4th gen. but figure out what you want to do and do it. but think hard because its not free, and anything you take off you might wanna sell.
so heres my list for you
**** what other people say, if they dont like them who cares...
think how long you plan on having them in your car
think of how they would look on your car
do you think you might want the stock look again eventually???????????
are they gonna be resellable???????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????
(^^my guess is not to easily^^)
do you have good ammounts of money that you can just blow on multiple pairs of headlights???
(^^wanna lend me some???? lol^^)

good luck with your choice, hope i helped

Re: SPEC-DŽ - Black Projector Headlights

I would have gotten my headlights retrofitted, if they were so bloody expensive and I didn't have the cash, so I bought the current ones I had as I needed headlights asap. I have no complaints about the ones I have. If you want them, get them.

Re: SPEC-DŽ - Black Projector Headlights

Dude it's all about what you like. i got ebay projectors and ended up hating them. if i were you i would go with depo black oem style. i wanna get them retrofitted but money is tight right now. if you got the cash i would get depo's retrofitted with morimotto projectors.

Re: SPEC-DŽ - Black Projector Headlights

Those look just like the DEPO projector headlights
http://www.dashzracing.com/97-01-hon...pl97jm-dp.html

The DEPO projector headlights are decent and use an H7 bulb so you could install an H7 HID kit in them. It's not as good as a retofit to OEM headlights, but it is better light output then stock.

Re: SPEC-DŽ - Black Projector Headlights

Those are made by Depo and are actually decent lenses as far quality. As far styling...they look better on the 5thgen but retros are obviously better. These Depo headlights have H7 projectors that are based from Valeo projectors used in Audi projection headlamps. I've heard they perform well with HID kits, unlike most of the e-bay projector headlights that have fog light H3's. If I was going to cop them I'd get them off of e-bay instead of that high priced web site...it's the same item on e-bay.

To some people anything that isnt stock or jdm stock then its ricer. Back in 2000 or so every car out there was unigue. these days you see one civic, youve seen them all. Seem like its become a contest of who can wash there cars the best. I say go out there and make yout car YOUR CAR. If im advicating rice then i be that dude today.

In 2000 the fad was body kits and that fad ended very quickly. As i stated in my post if the op likes them then he should get the headlights. It his car and if it makes him happy and he really likes them that is all that matters. As for the rice comment i only said what has been said on here multiple times by the majority of the members. I bought and installed the the halo headlights at on time and only liked them for about 2 months. That's when i started saving up for my retros. Not everybody wants to pay the price for retros or can afford them at the time when they need the headlights. So go with what fits your budget and your idea of what looks good because on your car your opinion is the only one that matters.

Sounds like you have some wiring issues. Trace all your wires out (search for the lighting diagrams) and make sure everything is connected correctly. Could be back-feeding as well.

Did you wire it all together the way it told you to? The passenger light is always going to be aimed up higher which could usaully be mistaken as it being brighter.
