noob question...

I searched and didnt find anything fairly concrete, sorry if it really is a repeat. I have a 2000 Prelude base, with the dreaded sport-shift auto...as far as i know its the original trans and I bought it from an older woman so I have no reason to doubt her..my car has 233k and some change and its starting to have the delayed upshift problem. Anyway, my question is will an accord 5 speed bolt up/work with this car as they are or used to be the sameish bolt patterns? Thanks for any help, please dont bash...simply trying to learn as I go, love the car!

Re: noob question...

Other than one very distinct (rare) accord trans, no, an accord one won't fit.
Luckily there's a lot more Prelude H22 trans' out there that WILL bolt directly up tho.

Hey, I'm a woman, just because we are prettier than you does not make us more trustworthy LOL

Anyways, if you are having trouble, why not just do a 5spd swap instead?

Re: noob question...

How do you park a Prelude in the kitchen???? Were you fed ?

On topic: you can do the The spec SiR swap and start completely fresh, 233miles is alot for one engine. Did the lady have records of the work?
