He did have a very stong grip when I shook his hand, lol. I'm just going to get a cover. What's the best polisher? I hate kits, but I don't need a full restore for it anyway

Re: The (not so new) Type SH

I use meguires plastic x for very light stuff, but your headlights are very hazy.

I'd use a 3M kit. I've used them a few times now.

Re: The (not so new) Type SH

Welcome to PZ, and nice SH! x3 on the headlight comment. It makes all the difference in the world. I would honestly like to know how someone could mess up the trim on the steering wheel like that....Chewing on it in traffic doesn't seem so far-fetched, D.

Re: The (not so new) Type SH

nice lude, lol with the steering wheel comment. yea get your car scanned and see whats up with the atts light being on. Now its just a base untill you get that light turned off. its kind of a hype cause when i had my atts light on for a while i really didnt feel a difference with it working or when it was turned off. I tested it on a few turns and the car handled the same imo.

Re: The (not so new) Type SH

So, I just picked this Prelude up a couple weeks ago, I don't know anything about 5th gens, but I picked it up for $3000... I need ideas...

All I've done to it so far is stickerbomb the lip & throw some rims on it...

ATTS is nice, but really a pita to do maintenance on. Most people just ditch it anyway. UNless you keep everything stock.

Re: The (not so new) Type SH

Honestly I really didn't care whether this was a Type SH or not. It was just one of the cleanest preludes I'd seen for sale in months. Most preludes down in South Florida are just big piles of ricer ****.

And most of the nice ones are auto.

This one actually had some 'ricey' stickers from the guy I bought it from, but they were taken off right away.

Re: The (not so new) Type SH

Yeah, I know what you mean. Most Preludes in my area aren't really riced. They just are really high mileage and few cosmetics, but the autos are like really clean. Seen a few riced autos too ;P.

Well, I know you will enjoy the car. What's the mileage on it? Is it original?

Re: The (not so new) Type SH

The engine has about 35k on it (rebuilt h22). The odometer reads about 233k. So yes high miles, but the gearbox is smooth as butter, and it looked just as good IRL as it did on CL. Was repainted original pearl white color. And the valve cover was painted red, no JDM here lol

That's good that you was given the paper work and whatnot. Great car, even if the chassis has a lot of miles. :)
