Rear quarter panel dent

I'm looking into a Prelude that has a rear quarter panel dent right on the edge of where the panel meets the rear bumper...

If I wanted to "fix" this issue once I've purchased the car, what kind of options do I have + how much would it cost?

In the attached picture, you can see that the dent is pretty noticeable and it's enough to cause misalignment with the rear bumper. Is it even possible to get it pulled/"repaired" at an auto body shop or would I pretty much need a new panel if I wanted it to look normal again?

Not a big enough photo but I would probably replace the rear quarter panel, unfortunately i'm not the one to tell you how much that would be.

That's nothing major. You won't need a new quarter panel at all. Is the rear bumper hit there too?

Well if it's bent in, trying to fix it could possibly rip it off from tension. Just saying.

I don't think so. The rear bumper looked just fine to me--if it was damaged at all then it wasn't noticeable.

If it helps you guys visualize (the picture doesn't really capture the damage--I know), the panel is pushed inwards about 1/4 inch so it's not just a scrape/dent it's also a bit bent/slightly mangled.

Ah, I see. Thanks for that, I'll keep it in mind.

Re: Rear quarter panel dent

if you were to bring it to me, it'd cost about $450 since you have a 3 stage paint job(base coat, pearl coat, clear coat)

Re: Rear quarter panel dent

Oh, okay I thought it was all the way in. 1/4th of an inch is really nothing and could probably figure out a way to do it yourself. I really love the paint on my lude, but the pearl white is a pain in the ass to get fixed because of expenses.

Yea that's about a good ball park price. It'd be around that if you took it to my shop, maybe a little less
