My New 99 SH -- Questions

Hey guys just got my new black 99 SH last week and I love it!! when the engine/atts lights are off especially. I've since had some issues...so any help would be appreciated!

1. My driver side door does not lock and is stuck unlocked. I took off the panel to see what I could find and the rod that connects to the interior lock/unlock manual "flipper" is stuck. My question is...where that rod runs into the white plastic mechanism to open and lock door, is that the actuater? If it is I'll buy a new one and install it I just wasn't sure if that was the actuater or something else.

2. My front Brake pads are low, any recommendations for new ones that aren't ridiculously expensive? I've looked around but don't know what to avoid as I've found pads for 11-140$ I was thinking of monroe ceramics for like$32 or is that way to cheap of a product?

3. Previous owners must have sold the muffler and put some piece of crap back on it, it's welded half way from the muffler to the first joint of the rest of the long exhaust pipe (pic below). which goes from what appears to be a 2" pipe to like a 1" which seems stupid (and sounds as good as it looks) Question is...Can you buy just a new muffler that also has that like 3' pipe that would just bolt on to the long 2" pipe?

Thanks for any help

Re: My New 99 SH -- Questions

might as well get the exhaust redone on it, besides those few issues you have now it does look pretty clean though

Re: My New 99 SH -- Questions

I would just get a cat back exhaust to replace the exhaust. Not worth chopping it off and welding something else on it. I can't help much on the other 2 things. Though very clean car you got there.

Yhea the white thing is your actuator.
I like the Honda genuine pads, least amount of squeak and brake dust for the money(about $60)

Agreed, OEM is always good. Nissin is the actual maker, i think they made the calipers as well... Might be able to find them cheaper under that name.
If you're gonna spend $60 on pads though, might as well get Hawk HPS. I did, and they Kick A$$. Especially on Brembo rotors lol.
