Re: rim and tire size help

9.75 width? Your going to need your fenders rolled I believe with something that wide. If your trying to go with something without needing modification get 17's with like a 7 inch width.

Even if the car is stock height? I have 18's x 8 now and they rub to much even with the fenders rolled a bit

if it rubs with 8in wide now; why in the world would you want to go with a 9.75in wide wheel?

Cause I thought it would be ok since there 17's lol. I didn't know the width would effect it too

Re: rim and tire size help

Personally without a drop those rims won't look good imo. Even though their 17's your going almost 2 inches wider which is huge.

Re: rim and tire size help

I really don't know Im not familiar with that stuff. Im sure it's possible but some extreme fender rolling would be needed.

Re: rim and tire size help

I wouldn't recommend getting that wide of rims. I have 17x8 with a +35 offset with the tires being 215/45/17. I'm dropped only 1.75 I rubbed before I had my fenders rolled. Now I only rub when I hit a pothole or a big bump. Milwaukee streets suck. I think you will still rum with it being such a wide rim but i could be wrong. Here's something that could help you out. Recommended Tire size & Offsets!

Re: rim and tire size help

Yes. You will need spacers, a fender roll, and hard springs. Pics of rims? You might even need widebody wheel flares so cops won't give you a ticket for unsafe equipment.

If the wheels are worth it, we're behind you, what 5th gen do you have?

Join NYPOC, cool members. If you keep searching CL, you'll find S2000 rims and rsx rims for the same kind of money, even Type R wheels. Just keep searching.

Re: rim and tire size help

What the hell. The guy is stretching 205/40's on 17x9.75?!? That's agressive. In my opinion, your car won't look good with aftermarket rims unless your car is lowered, even if it's a sport drop, it'll get rid of the wheel gap. 9.75's will not fit without extreme modifications to the fender. I had 205's on 17x8.5 +45 and the car was perfect with no rubbing, even with my agressive 3.0" drop.
