Oil leak frustration

I've been having this leak around my oil pan where it mates into the engine drivers side further away from the front of the car. First we suspected cam seal leaks, turns out they got replaced by the previous owner not too long ago when she did the timing belt job. We took off the valve cover looked at them and they were good replaced the valve cover gasket with some extra hondabond on the old gasket while we waited for my cam cap seal so we can change it all at once. Noticed a leak stopped coming from the top and then started noticing the oil leak forming around the oil pan spot I described above. We thought it was the oil pan gasket so we replaced that just this weekend. Well today after driving the same exact oil leak is back in the same spot. Im thinking it's a front main seal. After research all I see is people that have this leak are saying it's leaking really bad to where they sometimes have to park their car until fixed. Mines is small just a dime sized oil leak on the floor and some aorund the pan is this early stages of my seal going out??

As in oil filter? I don't think it's leaking.

Re: Oil leak frustration

probably the oil cooler ring. Very common for this to leak and make people think it's leaking from around the oil pan

Re: Oil leak frustration

Im thinking it's the front main seal, balancer shaft seal or some people say oil pump seal?

There's a pic I don't think my oil cooler ring is leaking since it's in a different area.

Re: Oil leak frustration

You can see the oil on the green/red wires above the pan and a little further up and behind them. It looks like the pan is leaking but it isn't :( I wasn't able to get a good look at it since the car was still hot. Will look further into it tomorrow.

Re: Oil leak frustration

those wires are your top dead center sensor and crankshaft position sensor. becareful with them because a new one is $280. when you look at your timing belt...is there oil on it?

Thanks. And when we took off my vc the timing belt was dry. Where is the oil pump seal?
