I am buying a 2001 Prelude (with optional OEM skirt package)

In a harsh Winnipeg winter, do you think lowering 1 inch would be too much?
Does anyone have pictures of their dropped (half inch or an inch) Prelude?

Also, are the 2001 Preludes as bad for transmission failure? Thanks

I've had 3 5th Gen Preludes and I did drive in my 1997 Base in mild Indianapolis winters.

Even at stock height there's very little ground clearance so it's easy to get stuck. So if you go with springs try and find a reasonably-priced threaded suspension or coil-over kit allowing you to lower for summer and raise for winter.

I'm dropped a 1.75 and I can drive fine in the Wisconsin winter. Probably cause of the blizack tire I got though. Haha for the trans question only the autos are horrible.

Thanks for the advice, I will certainly look at coil overs.

Damn, it is the automatic transmission I am purchasing (2001 SE). I'll hope for the best. Is there a specific common problem that happens with these transmissions with a typical price? Or does it vary big time

Thanks again
