Re: Honda prelude

That's kind of a tough one for me. I might but I don't know if the FR-s would age as good as the prelude would. What concerns me is that the new FR-s would become like the new civic and every teen has one.

Re: Honda prelude

Hell no. I personally don't like the look of them much. Their underpowered for being a newer car and are overated. I'm starting to see quite a few of them now. At 25k starting price everyone is going to have one

Re: Honda prelude

I wouldn't touch anything with a stick that has the Scion name badge on it. But I would get the BR-Z and make either that or my prelude a major project car. I would never trade my Prelude unless it was for a stick. Also, this would be better served titled Scion FR-S and in the Off-Topic section.

Honestly, new cars are a P.I.T.A. If something is lacking, you have to wait 3 years to change it. Power is just right. Enough for fun, not guzzling gas. If I was in the position to yeah I would.

Hell no, though a 6 speed is nice. I wish there was one that can be in the Prelude. If anything I'd for a WRX STi or S2000.

Hi I'm new to this, I see you guys know a lot about preludes. I have a 1988 Honda Prelude 2.0 si. My problem is my a/c compressor is slipping and I was wondering if I could fix it or does it have to be replaced? If I can fix it how would I go about doing so?

I would take an S2000 over the FRS and BRZ anyday. They look way better too. But nothing takes the place of my prelude.

No biggie man, I was more saying that in the direction of mods so they could move it to the right place.

Welcome to PZ. The best place to start would be starting your own thread....that way you get personalized answers to your problem

I agree with you 100%. I mean if you need a little more cargo space like me because you're, say, going back and forth to college, yeah a BR-Z wouldn't be a bad idea. But just for looks and performance? I'd pick up an S2K way before I picked up a new one of those.

Re: Honda prelude

Chick car is never a bad thing. That's like girl on girl action right there.

Since Nissan doesn't make silvias anymore, that's a perfect slot to fill. I mean the g25 doesn't count, being a 30,000$ car, because it isn't meant for fun.

This is like the third or fourth thread on this chasis, it's like no one here ever drove the original celica or celica supra from the early 80's, LOL! This car is great starter car once you land that 40,000/yr job, and it has serious potential. Now if they only put in a direct injection system on the old celica turbo engine. Whew!!!

Re: Honda prelude

I'm doing it. I'm in the middle of selling my Prelude SH and just put a deposit down on a BRZ.

I'm going to miss my Prelude but there's no point in having it sit in the garage 90% of the time. Someone should be driving it. Maybe Honda will wake up and build a BRZ/FRS competitor.

01: Dude, Lets not even get into the products that Honda's putting out lately. Last time they made a sporty car was 2009, and that was only one model(obviously I speak of the S2K). The rest of the line up has sucked for a while.

Not worrying about a car I don't like lol. I saw pics of it once and didn't like it so I have no intentions on reading up on it. Nor do I watch car tv channels or stuff like that that would tell me about it. Also the interior looks like balls for such a new car. Scion really screwed that up. Body style is okay I don't hate it I just don't like how Im seeing one everyday now.

And yeah Honda is going downhill unfortunately but oh well maybe they will wake up one day.

That's funny. I would have to say that I agree. It would be a tough decision. I love the Prelude. They just look so perfect. I would have to say no I wouldn't trade.
