Nelp radiator hose help! Quick!

I guess my lower radiator hose blew off the radiator. The hose was clear shot off the radiator so it's not torn or anything, even the old crappy hose clamp is still on there. I know I shouldn't drive my car and risk over heating the engine or something else so I left it where it was. I'm hoping it will be fine over night and no pranksters will try and break in, but what should I do to fix it? Is it safe to drive home so I can fix it there? I can't fix it in a fast food parking lot. I also have work at 4pm tomorrow so I'm kinda stressin'. Thanks PZ

Most likely that was just the clamp that went bad. If your hose is still flexible then just put a new clamp on. And you should be able to do that in a parking lot. Keep in mind to check everything more thoroughly when you get off work though.

Re: Nelp radiator hose help! Quick!

It's a easy job man. If it was the old squeeze together clamp then it probably failed under the pressure. Put a regular screw hose clamp on it. And no you can't drive it unless this is put back on and refill and bleed the coolant.
