Engine flooding/dying after driving

I recently decided to start working on a '01 Prelude that my brother has had sitting for over a year as a project car. The issue with the car isn't really with it starting or driving... the problem is that it slowly loses revs and dies when you try to idle after driving it a short distance.

We drove it for about a mile today, brought it back to the shop, backed it in, and let it idle. It lasted a couple of minutes before it started the rpms fell and it died. It will start up after dying, but each progressive start is rouger and the engine dies easier. The two mechanics that looked at it in the past said that it was flooding bad enough to wash out one of the cylinders and cause it to lose compression at some point while one was repeatedly starting it during the process of trying to fix it. All of that seems to be fixed except the flood/idle issue after driving, which neither could figure out. The check engine light isn't on and never came on today, though it did put out a bank 1 lean/system too lean error or something to that extent at some point in the past. I know the piston rings are in need of replacing, but I'm not sure that would be causing this problem.

The car has had at least one new injector, has had the idle tweaked, and has had the MAP sensor cleaned/checked. People have suggested checking the vacuum system and/or the fuel delivery system. If anyone has any suggestions on where to start or know anything about the problem, I'd be grateful to hear their input... or any input, really.

Re: Engine flooding/dying after driving

I'd check to make sure all injectors are spraying the same amount of fuel...if one needed replaced maybe the others did too???
