New to modding my prelude so few questions

well to start with I had an accident with my prelude went under a car, body is good not too bad fixed most myself but I have battery acid splashed all over and now looks like rust in some spots. Anyone know best way to get it cleaned or can it get cleaned up? also car is a bit low and was thinking of swapping out the suspension I got this car lowered already its the 2001 type sh. What suspension would you guys recommend? I like to feel the bumps in the road makes the ride feel better in my opinion even ride barefoot sometime, anyway I will probably need to replace the head gasket cover sense battery acid peeled the paint of in some spots. Well hope you guys can answer my questions have more but those go first thanks

Re: New to modding my prelude so few questions

If you mean the valve cover just take it off sand it down and repaint it. as far as the rust clean it off with wire wheel or sand paper and spray some rust stop paint on it until you can get the proper color to match

Yeah I have KYB AGX struts and skunk 2 sleeves too and I love em. I can raise/lower my car in 5 min.

As for the valve cover, you don't need a new one you can get it powder coated and it will look better than new. Just ask me nd I can get you connected with the best guy in the bizz

sounds good yeah this car I have to drive in first gear sometimes break on bumps to almost complete stop dont like it will post more pics as soon as I can still trying to find a good place to paint it still on budget sense paying off school but everything extra goes to car haha, and biggrin will do I like doing this stuff myself makes it that much better once its done, great feeling. I was thinking of repainting my type sh rims but maybe black and white. What do you guys think of my thoughts on paint front bumper, hood, left right fenders, side skirt, back bumper gas cover and stock wing black, rest white and pearl on all? kinda hard to describe I guess well kinda panda style I would guess except all front black.

oh yeah this is a before I fixed the crash pic

yeah same but I like the feeling of the road on my feet, I use glasses to see far away but not much -1.25 prescription and I just take them off when I want to chill and feel and see the road right in front of me is great sometimes just appreciate the ride and the road.

Re: New to modding my prelude so few questions

found some pics, I added the second to when I crashed it after I pulled right fender hood and bumper off, took the chance to replace spark plug cables new stock radiator, 10" better red cooling fans, changed clutch because it was done for, got a cheapo from ebay but will replace it later on for better one later on when more money rolls in any thoughts on a good clutch? cheap steering wheel but hub is nrg, took me over 2 hrs in the son to get it quick release and horn working properly, but pay off. dont have pic but put red led on front under dash for the feet, not too bright though, turned out well. also before crash pics. only front right side was main damage.

RACING SEATS>regular seats... i picked up some RSX seats in mint condition for my Lude...guy replaced them after a week of driving the car...and he was the first owner.

Re: New to modding my prelude so few questions

I find it odd looking when people only get a drivers seat racing seat and leave OEM as the passenger seat. I think it looks better if they both match.

Anyways welcome to the forums. Hope to see it recovered completely from the crash.

Baking soda and water for the acid splashes will clean it right up and not damage anything
