Sticking putty for door plastic shield?

I'm not exactly sure what to call it, but in inside the door there's a sheet of plastic covering the electrical stuff and I was wondering what are the sticking clay/putty thing that makes the plastic stick to the door?

I'm planning on cleaning up my inner door and would like to make a new plastic sheet and new glue.

That stuff is nasty to deal with...i think it's some kind of caulking or something.

If you pop you door panel away there is a piece of plastic inside with some nasty goo holding it on. it's use to keep the air from whistling and entering the car and making a draft.

Re: Sticking putty for door plastic shield?

It's the same stuff that's used for tail light and head light seals. Its stuck onto a strip of wax layered cardboard and rolled up. I have no clue where to buy it though. Maybe ask your local parts stores. A roll of it came with the tail light I ordered for my brothers car. No idea what happened to it though.
