Valve cover gasket question

98 99 00 01 2.2 HONDA PRELUDE Si VTE VALVE COVER GASKET | eBay

Has anyone heard of this gasket or used it? Feedback please. Im redoing my cam seals, cam cap seal, and some other seals and since my vc gasket is original Im gonna replace it. Fel-pro is 47 bucks for just the valve cover gasket set which is crazy! Im going to call Honda tomorrow to see how much they sell their vc gasket kit, In the meantime how much did you guys pay for yours at honda? Thank you and if there are any other valve cover gasket kits that are good but priced good please let me know.

Re: Valve cover gasket question

Eh..You can't go wrong with honda for sure, and Felpro is pretty good too. Just make sure to get a tube of hondabond or ultrablack too.

I only use honda stuff at work, or the OE manufacturer parts(I think the v/c gasket at work is like 6.97 and grommets are 1.99 and plug seals are like .81)

Re: Valve cover gasket question

Get the OEM Honda gaskets along with plug seals and grommets if they need to be replaced. Use a little Honda bond / silicone in the required spots and you're good to go.

Re: Valve cover gasket question

I just recently bought a valve cover gasket off of amazon. If you do the search you can find legit parts on amazon.com. Do a trial of amazon prime and cancel it before the 30 days is up. Free 2 day shipping, and no sales tax makes me

Re: Valve cover gasket question

^ Im gonna keep looking for the OEM gasket set. Again a day passes and I didn't call Honda. I was too busy with my exhaust ordering and it being on back order bull****. I already did that Amazon Prime :( Lol was awesome though.

I sell Fel-Pro, so that's what I used on mine;with a good bit of black silicone on the curves I've not had a problem.

Re: Valve cover gasket question

I bought the Fel-Pro one. I read up on it and read nothing but good things about them. My dad has used their gaskets too when he's rebuilt engines in the past and never had a problem. Thanks guys.

Re: Valve cover gasket question

Dont forget to pick up some gaskets for the sparkplugs area as well. Dont want to run into getting oil in your plugs.

Yeah thanks. Though it came with the spark plug seals and groments too. Good deal. Just need some hondabond or gasket sealer.
