Fans not turning on?

So me and my dad installed a new radiator the other day and the car's running fine, no leaks, engine temp stays cool, but my A/C doesn't work and my fans don't run. Any ideas? And yes, we did connect the wires, lol.

Re: Fans not turning on?

Your ac quit working after you changed the radiator? Fans and ac were both working before hand?

Re: Fans not turning on?

The A/C worked decently well before the install. I think one of the fans wouldn't work, but now they both don't. And I have no idea how to check if the compressor is working or not.

Re: Fans not turning on?

Strange. Are the plugs connected correctly? Fuse might be blown or fan just not working. If the fan is the culprit go on ebay and look for one. Ibought mine like 1 year ago and it's been working great and it wasn't made in China. I`ll see if I can find the link for ju. Turn on your car and with out the AC on make sure it is silent and then press the AC button you should hear a click sounds(can't really explain the noise but the compressor will then turn on & the fan usually turns on at that moment) Also, what do you mean by your AC working decently? As in it wasn't cold? If that was the case then it just needed some refrigerant. If that's the case just grab a bottle of some cooled as AC bottle that comes with a hose and gauge and follow the instructions it should tell you to connect the house upside down with the car running and etc and the compressor kicks in when doing so. (the sound of the compressor is kinda like that of a air compressor or so to speak) You should do this after finding or fixing the fan issue in my opinion

Re: Fans not turning on?

It's is very odd that it's doing this after you installed a radiator. The connector for the compressor is mounted on the ac fan. So maybe you didn't connect it or the wire came out?

Re: Fans not turning on?

try direct jumping both fans to make sure they work. if they do then check your fuse and your wires. do you know how to use a voltmeter? as for your A/C if the fan mounted to your radiator doesnt turn on then it wont get cold so thats why your A/C doesnt work now. it may have been undercharged which might be why it didnt get super cold before but thats unrelated to your fan issue. i'd say its likely a fuse or a snapped/pulled wire.
