Icon10 H22A Type S swap

I am looking to do a 5 speed swap soon and found what I consider a good deal on a JDM h22A type s engine together with a 5 spd transmission, ECU and accessories. I am planning on going with a super charger to keep it Ca legal and thought, why not start with a new engine and build it up, then when complete, just swap it all in.

Questions are,

Is $2600 for the bundle a good deal for a setup with between 30 and 40k miles?

Would it be a simple swap?

This is from an engine importer.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks

Ricebunny, Ms. Bunny if you're nasty. LOL

Re: H22A Type S swap

I wish I had your answer : / I'm sure you will be asked what type of trans?? And when you say the whole Bundle that doesn't mean everything you need for the 5 speed swap does it?

Re: H22A Type S swap

No, it includes the engine, transmission, ECU, slave cylinder, cables. I will still need the master cylinder, clutch pedal, brake pedal, wiring harness and gauge cluster, not to mention shift lever.

Re: H22A Type S swap

Well Then the question is what type of trans are you getting in the deal?

Re: H22A Type S swap

A Type S swap has ATTS. Since you have a base auto, I would recommend getting an Sir S-Spec swap instead (same HP and compression as the Type S, but with an LSD trans and no ATTS).
