Gas leaking...

Hi guys,

I came back from a week vacation yesterday. So no one drove my car, I went to take it back at the garage and when I turned it on ( I drove it right away ) I started smelling some gas leak. I took a quick look on the street and it was leaking. Like 10 minutes later, when I was about to go home the leak stopped, I'm still worried, though. My appointment is this friday only, any idea what it could be? Tank is still half full, by the way, I didn't lose much.

Thank you.

Re: Gas leaking...

I would not drive it till you get t resolved is all I can say. This is one of those times where taking it in and having it on a lift would be best.

Re: Gas leaking...

Can you tell where it is leaking? Front, middle, rear? Do you see any fuel leak from the filter and/or feeder line to the fuel rail when you prime the pump? Have someone turn the key to ON while you look at that area to see if it is coming from there.

Re: Gas leaking...

Just throwin this out there, I had a fuel leak near the fuel rail before. The o-ring for one of the injectors had gone bad. So maybe try checking out all of your injectors for leaked gas.

Re: Gas leaking...

front middle.... um. like header front? cuz that doesnt make too much sense to me.... i figured by the time the fuel gets that far forward in your car it'd be burnt exhaust gas... well, it should be, anyways. right..?

Re: Gas leaking...

Fast update,I left my car today at my garage.the guy had a look into it. they called me after saying, they couldn't find anything at all about where the leak came from. I explained then the story, they double checked but nothing, weird.

Re: Gas leaking...

i swear, back when i was having an erratic idle, my car acted up only when i was the only one around. when i brought her into the shop, she ran like an angel.
