Window not going down

Hey guys, I got a problem that really bothers me. My passenger window will not go down.....at all!. It won't even budge. Every time I hit the switch, I just hear a click noise like its trying to go down but it can't. I took it out to Autozone and the guy told me it could be my power switch. I thought it was my relay fuse box because that's where I hear the click from, but the guy from Autozone said he doubts it's that. He told me to test all the electric wire switches but I want input from the pro's. Anybody ever have this problem? Any help would really help.

Thanks guys

Re: Window not going down

Window motor could be bad, or could be the regulator. Only way to check is to gain access to it and check for voltage.

Re: Window not going down

Im not saying the guy from AutoZone doesn't know his ****, but know that they receive no formal training in how cars work or how to fix stuff. Each worker learns that stuff on his own, so it'll vary from person to person.

Re: Window not going down

Alright thanks guys. I was fiddling with it today and after about 5 mins of hitting the switch, the motor was extremely hot. So I'm assuming it's the motor.

Re: Window not going down

Ive got the same kind of problem other then the motor gets hot. I press it in, and the motor goes but the window doesnt. I checked the inside, and the top teeth on the motor/regulator assembly are broken off. So if I push my window down, it works, up until I get to that top. Can't find ANY place to get the assembly tho :/
