I locked my keys in the car. :(

So this morning I was getting ready to head out to school, but I left something inside my trunk which I needed. As I pulled out my binder, I believe my keys slid off my finger and fell.
I can't afford a Locksmith and my dad's already mad at me. lool
Is there a way to open my doors or my trunk without my key? If you know how, can you PM me please?(for security purposes of course.)

Coat hanger. Slide it in at top of door. but u will have to shim the door a little. then just use the hanger to lift the auto lock switch. Should work fine.

Okay thanks! At the end of the coat hanger, would it need to be a hook shape or just a straight?

It's easy!

Break a window and flip the lock.

Oh, wait..

Re: I locked my keys in the car. :(

Do you have friends with hondas? Try their keys, almost guaranteed one will work. There were like 10 hondas in my school parking lot and I could get into everyone older than my 97 :)

Wedge the door open a little and shove the hanger in works everytime.

After A LOT of messing around with the door, I finally got the door to open. lol I had to pry between the handle and where it locked to the frame.

ouch !
Hopefully there is no next time, but... once u got it wedged just a hair, slide the ol hanger thru (put a bit of sticky tape around the end, for grip, and so u dont scratch yo ish up) and it take a couple minutes, one if your good.

Re: I locked my keys in the car. :(

ok, problem solved! I was going to say something dumb like "tell your girl to open it" but I'm sure she wouldn't listen anyways, rofl.

But for the future, make a copy for the doors only and save it on your college lanyard or sew a key pocket in all your underwear. much easier to get a lanyard and be a campus tool bag, if not just for the Prelude...

I done the exact same thing except my windows were down so I took the cover off of the trunk/gas latch and pulled the cable with a pair of pliers. In in 2 minutes, but luckily my windows were down.

U stick it up to the metal bro, a chassis point. Could shove it up in the strut tower...

u also probably wouldnt want to tape anything up under the wheel well to the plastic, with all the water and poop that can be involved. I dont want gummy strong ass duct tape residue all over my key shaft sliding into a lock mechanism, that could be bad after repeated use..

Really? Duct tape it on the gellin' side of a shoe sole. There's a lot of ways. Putting keys unattended on a car is a REALLY bad idea.

Re: I locked my keys in the car. :(

Yeah, until you leave a laptop, or DVD deck or other ice installed by a local shop, you forget the key was there, and they find it. Three weeks later, mystery theft, no broken window, key where it belongs, no idea what happened. it's so easy to forget its there.

Just copy the key and put Lanyard around the neck.

I had a buddy put a switch under his rear bumper that unlocked the truck then he had a spare key in there to open the doors
