Is this okay?

Would It be okay if I buy this Ebay CAI for the intake tube itself and repace the filter with my Tenzo R filter? Or is there actually a difference in the tubes vs AEM and so on.

Re: Is this okay?

It would really depend on the O.D. You would have to mic yours and then ask them to mic theirs. I don't know if that would be necessary though, they might all be the same.

Re: Is this okay?

I agree with checking the O.D.

Average AEM tubes for our cars are 3" O.D. for reference.

It also says it's for a 90-93 Accord in that same description.

Do you really want to go by what the description says? Always confirm when dealing with ebay sellers. Assumption is how people get screwed. And we don't know what his current filter size is.

Re: Is this okay?

Silly ebay and their horrible descriptions lol well I'll email them and if it is 3 inches would it be fine with my car? And the short ram intake I have in my car came from my dads old Accord forgot what year but maybe they fit both cars?

You need to measure the inner diameter of the filter. So just pull out a measuring tape and go at it - diameter is just the size of the opening straight down the center, so take off the filter and have a look....easy enough.

Remember - on filters, you're looking for the inner diameter, and on the tube you are looking for the outer diameter.

There really isn't any guessing involved, if it's the incorrect diameter - it won't fit at all.
