Another struggle to start thread

Here's my story, my 2000 has been experiencing the won't start syndrome. However, I can get it started and once it is running she runs like a top. Once it is up to temp I can cut the engine, wait a few then start the car without any issues so I'm not sure the "The FINAL "problem starting engine" thread!!!" is going to help me. I've inherited this issue and the previous owner had the following parts replaced: O2 sensor, Honda relay assembly, Ignition coil, Dist. cap and rotor buttton, and I've installed new NGK double platinum plugs and a new wire set. Thoughts?

Re: Another struggle to start thread

You haven't really given us any helpful or useful info that we can go off of to help you solve this. Any there any sort of circumstances or certain conditions where it doesn't start??

Re: Another struggle to start thread

If I normally try to start the car by only turning the key, letting the fuel pump prime, lamp check clears, turn the key to engage the starter, the engine will only turn over and over and not start (as in the previous video of the 97 Prelude by Allen_T97, sounds identical). However, if I turn the key, hold it in the start position, push gas pedal to the floor, and allow the engine to turn over and over repeatedly, I can eventually get the car to start.

I had a mechanic believe that the injectors were leaking through and flooding the engine, but I just finished checking them and they do not leak thru. For whatever reason, it seems that some component is telling the computer to push more fuel than necessary and flooding the cylinders at start up.

Problem solved. Turned out to be a bad coolant temp sensor, who'da thunk?
