Need advice/opinions on wheels/suspension - Pls post pics 5 spoke rims you have/seen

Hey guys, I recently bought a Prelude that only has an aftermarket exhaust. I'm looking at doing a few things. I have a spoiler on the way and an SH shift knob. I also plan on getting some HID's and tints. But I just don't know what do do for the wheels. What do you guys think of these:

Advanti Racing B2 Denaro Silver w/Machined Lip

My concern is I don't want to spend all this money on wheels and then not like how they look. It's hard to tell just by going off a pic. Any advice on how to go about doing this?

Also, what do you guys recommend as far as lowering the suspension? My bro recommends coilovers but said they're expensive so he said I could go w/springs. I don't know what to do. Help! Much appreciated.

Also, if anyone could identify the wheels in these pics that would be awesome. I really like how these rims look on the Prelude, especially the blue one.

Re: Need advice/opinions on wheels/suspension

I would say go with koni+ground controls on suspenssion and on rims i persanally like the wheels are the light green lude and i would say dont get 17 or 18, 16 is the way to go buddy

The rims on the pics are 04-06 Acura RSX factory rims.

Re: Need advice/opinions on wheels/suspension

The blue lude is ebpreludesh's car and it looks more like the advan kreuzer v's that he use to have on the car. not sure about the green ludes rims but don't think they are rsx rims since they have a universal bolt pattern

I don't think there rsx rims. I thought rsx rims are fatter in the middle and kinda narrow out.

Re: Need advice/opinions on wheels/suspension

No way those are RSX rims. I'm looking for rims w/the 5-spoke variety. Anybody have some good ones that they have/seen?

And for size someone said keep the 16's? I thought 17's are the way to go. Thoughts?

Re: Need advice/opinions on wheels/suspension

Those are not RSX-S rims, I think cajunoutkast is correct.

Those are 18s also

Anyone know where I can get the rims on the blue lude? I think I'd go w/17's as I feel 18's look too big.

Re: Need advice/opinions on wheels/suspension

hall756 ,

Thanks a lot for posting those pics. I LOVE those rims. That's the exact type I'm looking for. I'm wondering how they'd look on my sliver lude. Do you know where I could find them? How did you lower your car? Do you own that tank too? lol

I think I found them:

http://www.upgrademotoring.com/wheels/PIAA/fr_s.htm

I have no idea about the sizes though. Pleeeease help a newb out.

Re: Need advice/opinions on wheels/suspension

i bought them off of 01preludeperformance on here and he had them on a white lude, i think it looked pretty good. I'm lowered on megan EZ street coilovers and wouldnt have it any other way haha. i used to think 18's were too big, but when i saw my current wheels and got them on my car i had a change of heart, if you're gonna go with 18's you almost have to lower as well for it to look right though otherwise your lude will look like a monster truck haha. here are some pics of them on 01preludeperformance's car. hope this helps.

Re: Need advice/opinions on wheels/suspension

^^Dang, those look too sick! If they look good one black/white I'm sure they'll look good on my silver lude. I'm definitely thinking of getting those. You're right though, the 18's don't look too big here w/it lowered. Thanks a lot for the pics, much obliged.

What's the dark level on those tints btw?

those would work, i would suggest getting struts along with them though, if you dont your stock ones will proly be pretty bouncy and blow out eventually

Re: Need advice/opinions on wheels/suspension

Aftermarket koni shocks or bilsteins monotube with GC coilovers or a h&r 1.75 drop springs.

The rims? I'd want to switch em in a month. They look great but road debris will rough them up in no time. Do you have any other choices? A lot of people sleep on prodrives. CL and eBay have em on sale all the time, and come in sick styles.

Mr. Danglez. The prelude looks good, which tire size you went with? Still don't like the flush look, but the attention to detail is excellent.

You could take a look at Enkei Evo 5's they come in a gunmetal or gold/bronze with a polished lip.
