Weird noise at high speeds

Hey Luders,

So I started a new job and I have a commute that now takes me on the highway at higher speeds. Started noticing a noise coming from the wheel area, which would explain the rotational nature of the sound coming and going.

Not really sure how to describe the sound, but it's a cross between sounding like something is vibrating near the wheel well (front I'm thinking), or perhaps something strut/shock related. Note that I only hear the sound in the 70-82MPH range; otherwise it is very faint or almost nonexistent when you're talking in the 65MPH and under range.

Car has almost 80,000 miles on the odometer and is otherwise running smooth besides the normal shock knock and creaks.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Re: Weird noise at high speeds

Reviving this old thread... still have the same noise.

Took it to a shop awhile back who found the root cause to be the REAR right rotor is warped. Not sure how much it would run me and what not, but would be open to suggestions on what I should do.

Thanks guys,

Re: Weird noise at high speeds

Replace the rotor.

Go to hondapartsnow.com. find your rotor, enter said parts number in search bar, observe other hondas the part fits, go to junkyard, find rotor cheap.
Bam! That was ez.

Pretty much got flamed for driving like a jackass and was told to slow down. And I'll be damned, slowing down fixed it.
