Should I buy this?

Hi guys,

My car needs a drop, buying a set local would be too expensive. I was checking around on ebay and found this one SKUNK2 LOWERING SPRINGS + TOKICO HP SHOCKS 92-01 PRELUDE | eBay

Is it worth it?

Thanks

Re: Should I buy this?

I'm a newbie so sorry if this is a dumb question but if your not racing what's the benefit of the coil overs? Which one last longer? And if one blows can you replace 1 coil over?

I may have to go for the springs because I need a west wing lips in same time a bit tight for my budget if I get the coilover =/

Re: Should I buy this?

I'm sorry - I meant besides being able to adjust it easily, does the coil over benefit you in street driving? Would it fix the issue of the wheels being against the fender lip?
Thanks phil

Re: Should I buy this?

If you get springs and your tire rubs your screwed get coilovers your tire rubs you can adjust to where if doesn't :) also if you decide to up or down a size on rims you can easily adjust the height to get rid of wheel gap. Quaility wise I've heard great things about the function form type 1 coilovers great ride even at 2 inch drop and no blown shock/strut prematurly

Re: Should I buy this?

Of course you can but professional fender rolling usaully goes for 40 bucks a fender well stleast in mg area. But then you would just be spending extra money when you could buy coilovers and no deal with rubbing. I've seen people drop 2.5 inches on function and form coilovers with stock wheels and no rubbing.

Re: Should I buy this?

Best to keep your eye out on craigslist and the forums for someone selling them. I don't know if they sell a replica kit of it though, which usually the replicas fit like pure ****.

Re: Should I buy this?

Very helpful thread. I'm looking at buying some new wheels but wasn't sure how to lower my lude. I guess the general consensus is to go w/the coilovers? Would these work?

517-05-0700 - Adjustable Sleeve Coilovers - Suspension - Skunk2 Store

I'm a total newb w/this stuff so thanks in advance.

Re: Should I buy this?

springs drop the car too low, i would know i tried lowering springs and i blew out both front shock absorbers, lesson learned i guess. just save up and go with coilovers, to have the freedom to adjust your whip the way to you want it so sit is sweet.

I got myself a set of f&f type 2
They ride insane imo :)
So if u gonna do it,do it right the first time
Drop it 2.5" front and rear.get rid of the gap.tuck in a lil.
Look clean as hell, and u still can drive over speed pump.
Just keep it in mind after u have it dropped.
Get a life time aligment from NTB or firestone.
So u can go up or down without worry about the cost of aligment :)).
