my lude's hesitation/bog problem solved finally! (I think)

So ever since about a week after i bought my lude it developed the hesitation problem that is pretty common among 5th gens. I tried nearly everything from cleaning the whole egr system to a complete tune up, and still had hesitation issues at low rpm's. The last thing i could think of and was recommended was doing a valve/lash adjustment. I did this last week and it seemed to help a little but was still having problems. then i went back over them today and viola, hesitation gone. i only took it on a semi short drive, but it didnt hesitate once and it used to all the time. so i guess this is just me sharing my excitement with you guys and a piece of advice to anyone having this problem, get a valve adjustment, it makes a world of difference and is a pretty simple process.

I might be wrong but I don't think a valve adjustment could solve that issue. Not unless they were way out if specs

A valve adjustment is absolutely helpful and important. It is very neglected nowadays. It can definitely hurt performance and economy. I mean really, why would people think that the length that their valves open and close isn't important.......

ok so I lied. I'm still getting a tiny bit of hesitation once in a while, but still a huge improvement over how it was.

just pinch the hose before the valve with some pliers with the car running. If its good, it should click when you pinch and let go.
