I dun goofed

So over the past two days, my friend and I were painting our brake calipers and when we were jacking up my car, it slipped off of the jack and the front driver side took the fall. We jacked it back up real quick and nothing looked wrong aside from that thin metal disc behind the brake pads. It was slightly bent on the bottom but it didn't look serious so we just kept on. Anyway, now that my tires are back on, I've been noticing that when I go over bumps, my car dips down on the front driver side quicker than the rest of the car. Is there a possibility that my suspension is messed up? I made sure all of the tire lugs were tightened and my tires don't wobble, at least not that I can tell, but it feels like maybe my suspension is loose or something? Any ideas or how I should diagnose the problem?

I would say it's unlikely. You had the car jacked up on the tabs right?

Yeah. See the cinder blocks in the pics? Those are what the car was on. I was parked on a slope though, and stupid ol me didn't think anything of it. Then the car slid off the jack and the front drivers side smashed the ground. I would upload a pic of the bent piece but the wheels are already back on. I even took them off again today to see if I could see any cracks or breaks in the suspension, but I couldn't see anything visually. I hope nothings wrong but is there anything diagnostically I could do to see what the problem is? It doesn't affect driving much except on bumpy spots but I don't want to keep driving if it could be potentially dangerous.

That cover you bent is just a shield, no spilled ghinnies. Check your bushings and pat yourself on the back for not being under it when it went down.

^^ this.

Thin metal behind the rotor is just a dust shield.


Worst case scenario in that situation is you mess up your front bumper, or the rotor hits the ground so hard that it bends the wheel studs or bearing. I can only imagine you would've noticed or heard a difference by now if you bent anything in that area.

Check your upper strut where it mounts on the inside of the engine bay. Thats alot of weight crashing down. Maybe something is loose, or bent.
