H22a4 to typeS swap

Hello I have a 2001 base model prelude with a 5 speed. Recently had problem with the motor knocking we narrowed it down to being either a wrist pin or a rod bearing. Rather than tearing it all apart to fix a high milage motor I am looking to drop a type S in it. I have read a lot of the forums on this topic and have read about everything that needs swaped from the old motor. One question I don't have a definitive answer on is whether or not the type s engine will bolt up to the base model 5 speed trans?

atts tranny needs SH block and SH block needs atts tranny

other f and h serie trannys are compatible with each others

What I'm getting at though is the engine code is the same for both the base and the SH. I thought that the block though for the SH was different and hence why no other tranny would work. The M2U4 (SH tranny) won't mount up to the base motor right or wrong? Not being sarcastic just trying to get my facts straight.
