Speedometer bouncing

Hey all... question. When I accelerate to, usually over 60mph, the speedometer starts jumping. Once it hits say, 60 (high speeds only, never driving around the city), it will stop moving even though I'm still accelerating, then it will catch back up to 70 or 75. Ideas? Is it an easy fix is the question. Thanks!

Re: Speedometer bouncing

Nah it's pretty easy, all you gotta do to make it easier on yourself is take the intake off the throttle body so you can reach down in there.

Re: Speedometer bouncing

It's most likely your VSS!

It's a easy fix. Remove the intake and you should see it underneath. It's roughly bout in the upper left corner of your motor. It's a few screws that's all

I'd say taking the TB off is more work than its worth just to get to the VSS, cuz then you gotta deal w/ the TB gasket, o-rings for the FITV, etc...
I'd just take the intake off.

That's...what I said.

Edit: Okay I see how you're reading it. Here;

...take the intake off OF the throttle body...

Re: Speedometer bouncing

Ive had the same problem for some time now and basically just gave up. I've replaced the VSS, The Cluster and even the clip on the wiring. The Speedo continues to jump around. What else can i do to fix this? I MISS MY VTEC

Re: Speedometer bouncing

I had the same problem, Replaced the VSS and it stopped immediately.. Easy fix, didnt jack up the car or anything like people say to do. I could reach it after removing my intake.
