Sandwich plate trouble!

Ok, i ran into a bit of a snag when installing an oil cooler. I was replacing my factory oil cooler with a sandwich plate that looks just like this one OIL COOLER SANDWICH ADAPTER HONDA CIVIC CRX PRELUDE | eBay

Problem i ran into is that the Oil cooler/filter banjo bold is to long. so there for the sandwtch and filter will no fit properly. What do i need to do or buy to make this work?

Re: Sandwich plate trouble!

Did you try using both the "bolts" that come with the kit, and the stock one?

Re: Sandwich plate trouble!

I have one on my subby that sits on top of the cooler, but yours clearly replaces the oil cooler since it has those 2 big -10 AN fittings which are for the coolant lines. Which brings me to another question.... do you have the proper AN fittings on the coolant lines to hook up to those on the cooler??

I mean if you really wanted to put this one on top of the stock oil cooler and just not have any coolant lines running to it, you'd just have the oil lines/sensors hooked up you could do that. Its a lil ghetto but should work.

Personally I'd return that one and get one like this that isn't supposed to replace the entire cooler;
OIL FILTER SANDWICH ADAPTER HONDA CIVIC TURBO D15 D16 | eBay

Re: Sandwich plate trouble!

Since its basically a "universal" kit, the additional Tee is prolly there if some other car needs it.
