5th Gen radiator questions

Hey, my radiator is cracked. Installing a new one is easy enough, but I'm curious If I should go with a 1-row or 2-row radiator? Both I'm looking at are ~$50. Naturally the 2 row is twice as thick as the one row (1 1/4 opposed to 5/8 inch) Also the tank is metal as opposed to plastic.

Here is the 2 row radiator I am looking at, and there are several 1 row radiators I won't bother to list them all.
2-row radiator

The 2-row radiator as well as some of the one row radiators also have TOC but If I'm not mistaken neither TOC or EOC is needed (5-speed) right?

I'm leaning towards the 2-row, unless there are any specific reasons i should NOT.... cuz where I live it gets really hot in the summer and I'm assuming it will grant some extra cooling power. Would appreciate your advice, thanks.

Re: 5th Gen radiator questions

EOC = engine oil cooler
TOC = transmission oil cooler (needed for auto & TypeSH)
Isn't the OE radiator 2 row?

Re: 5th Gen radiator questions

Thanks for the reply.

I already knew what EOC and TOC meant, just didn't know if the 5th gen ludes (manual) used them.

As far as the OE radiator being 2 row... I'm not sure. I guess I had just assumed that it was 1 row cuz like 99% of the replacements I'm seeing are all 1 row (minus the high end/high performance $100+ ones)

Re: 5th Gen radiator questions

What part is cracked - the raidator core itself or the end tanks? The plastic end tanks can be replaced on their own for a smaller cost if the core is ok.

Its the plastic part on top... a few inches from the pressure cap. But I don't see how it could be fixed.. are you talking about rebuilding it? where Would I even find the parts for that?

Re: 5th Gen radiator questions

Thank you everyone for the responses.. Ideally I woulda waited a little longer to make absolutely sure, but because of time restraints I have ordered the 2 row radiator linked to in my OP

Re: 5th Gen radiator questions

Does anyone know the exact size of socket(s) I need to remove the radiator which should be just the one or 2 nuts that attach the "holding arm" on top if I remember correctly and also to remove the fans from the radiator itself???
