My 98 prelude is AT and..

I wanna do a tranny swap OR buy a MT lude. Problem is I live in a small town about 2 hours away from the closest big city. I dont have time to drive and pick one up plus my prelude is in prestine condition. only has 100k miles on it and no problems whatsoever all stock. I've got cash to do whatever but I'm asking what do you guys think? Should I just buy a whole new prelude or swap it with a new tranny?

^^^agreed. I think you would feel better keeping the lude you have just make sure it's done right.

Sounds good to me. I could probably search this but would it be worth it buying parts from junk yards or should I just do a whole new one?

Re: My 98 prelude is AT and..

Finally I see ppl telling somebody to do a 5spd swap.

To the op, Im in the middle of gathering parts for my 5spd swap. If your gonna do it, do it right. U dont gotta buy everything new, but for stuff like a clutch, flywheel, and clutch master and slave cylinder, you might as well buy new. It may be a little more expensive but it will be worth it in the long run. Thats what Im doing with mine.

Re: My 98 prelude is AT and..

Thanks. I do have the time and money to get them. Are there specific sites I could order or could I just go to a place like checkers and do one big order?
