97-01 Prelude injectors and ignition

I am looking to put a full msd ignition with a blaster coil on my h22. Should I run bigger injectors? And will I see any improvements with that ignition system?

if youre changing your injectors you have to tune your ecu then also - you have to buy chipped ecu

Re: 97-01 Prelude injectors and ignition

Is it worth doing just the msd ignition? Would I pick up any hp?

base or sh?

if base

obd1 conversion: ecu + harness 300$
injectors + fuel rail 420$
tune ~400$

gains something like 2-5hp

is there something wrong with your old one?
no gains there, maybe slight better throttle response

Thats a good bit of money to only pick up at most 5 hp.

Well I just found out today that I need to completely rebuild my motor. I have oil blowing past my rings, and my valve seals need redone. I want to fully build the motor now. What all should I do if down the road I plan on turboing it? I want to pick up some decent horsepower through my rebuild. What is the best thing to do?

turbo and na builds are totally different

different cams, different exhaust, different pistons and so on

Between the two which is the cheapest way to see major gains? I know neither one is going to be cheap but Im trying to compare the builds

Re: 97-01 Prelude injectors and ignition

fully built turbo can be atleast 6-8 grand to do it properly

a nice fully built motor on N/A could be 5-7 grand all depends on how much power you want
