Strut bars

I am looking to buy some strut bars for my car(front/rear). What do you recommend? I know of some, but need some help. Neuspeed is not going to happen. I don't like the look of them. Plus not a big German made fan.

Choices are limited. Spoon is good quality, look best...but hard to find. Type S is readily available but only for the front. DC sports...don't think they make em anymore. Don't waste time with Skunk2 because they never did release them despite websites advertising them. Cusco doesn't make one for 5th gen.

Not trying to hijack this thread or anything, so forgive me if it seems that way. I was just wondering...whats the difference between strut bars and sway bars? (if any)

Im not gonna act like I know a lot about cars...so any help is appreciated.

Sway bars go under the car(bottom) and strut bars go in the engine bay on top or in the back on the top of the shocks. The sway reduces sway on corners and overall swaying. Strut bars help to keep the chassis from twisting. Anyone know where to find a spoon strut bar?

I have seen a mugen, but only a couple of times. Not a big fan of spoon. it's funny. honda said their best prelude ever was the 5th gen, yet all the parts are made for the 4th gen.

well thats because consumers run the market, companies make thier products based on how many people want them, thats why you see 1000000 civic parts, but if you were to look up.... sayyy astro minivan aftermarket, youd get sh*t on a stick.... literally lol, they probably make a sh*t on a stick antenna replacement. not to dis the 5th gen tho... i love them, i love the back ends of them more than i do my 4th gen, but thiers just something about the 4th that made my decision for me... gl in finding a strut bar tho.. im thinking about a ebay one hehe.. i hope it breaks on me

Also, what's up with the ford fusion? anyone noticed the headlights/taillights? The headlights are inspired by the 5th gen, the taillights by the 4th gen. don't believe me check it out.

90% of the rice parts are for the 4th gen. There's 10,000 different kinds of Altezzas for the 4g as opposed to about 7 for the 5g. More ricers can afford an older, less expensive 4g to destroy rather than a newer 5g in decent shape. There's more performance parts for the 5g though. That's what I care about.

PS: Don't start another discussion about the Fusion in this thread. Ford is just a Fu*kin Old Rebuild Dodge and they ran out of used Dodge parts for the Fusion and stole Honda parts instead.

Back on topic with strut bars.

Neuspeed is good. It doesn't look that great, but it's solid, and solid is better.

ALso, keep in mind that a JDM Type S strut brace won't fit anything but a Type S.

Where did you see that spoon bar? I checked for sale and did not see it. I am not sure on the fitment between the gens though. That is wierd that you see more for the 5th gen, cause every site I see only sells the 4th gen.

For anyone who cares...went ahead and ordered front and rear Tanabes tonight. Kinda wanted the JDM Type S one, but couldnt find it...so went with the Tanabes. only about 230 with shipping and whatnot. Anybody want the link?

Just check RacingLab.com

Thanks for the link. I might get mine from there. Unless, somebody has a mugen or an even rarer strut bar. I don't know why, I just like rare items.

After some research, I found you have to have a Type S "base" on top of the strut towers.

A base Prelude doesn't have the 2 extra peices in the green squares. You have to order one.
